Let’s Dance | Bookings

I love swing dance. I love swing jazz. Lindy hop has captured my imagination for almost 10 years. What better way to connect with people?! I have taught for 10+ years. Nothing brings me greater joy then bringing people together to celebrate dance, enjoy quality movement, and hear a cookin’ band. I currently teach for Swing Patrol at their Old Street venue and will start at Angel from September 2019. I also teach for JazzMAD on their 12 week courses. Most often you will see me teaching in London with Matt Cochrane and abroad with Matthew Lane and others.

I am available and happy to perform, choreograph, teach partnered lindy hop, solo charleston, vernacular jazz, burlesque and solo blues. I take commissions, such as my recent piece at Sadler’s Wells for Step Change Studios production of ‘Fairy Tales’. I self-produce full length dance shows with my co-collaborator, Cat Foley and our recent production of ‘Swing, Sister, Swing‘ was a sold out success at Rich Mix in East London and was supported by Arts Council England through a National Lottery Project Grant, the Canadian High Commission and 80+ crowdfunders.

Cat and I were proud workshop facilitators for this year’s 2019 U.Dance Festival for One Dance UK at the Southbank Centre and we are keen to deliver more inclusive dance projects for young people, older people and really all people.

I work with several regular teaching partners in London. Workshops, wedding dance lessons, hen parties and private lessons are also available. Just shoot me an email and we can get the conversation rolling – nancyhitzig [at] gmail [dot] com.
